Nautilus International members employed by Associated British Ports and serving as Humber Pilots have accepted a revised offer from the company in the 2023 pay review. They will receive an increase on pay and allowances of 10.5%, backdated to 1 April 2023, and an additional bank holiday for the King’s coronation.

ABP has also committed to funding a total reward benchmarking exercise ahead of the 2024 pay review process, in response to worries among the Humber pilots that they may be the poorest paid district in the UK.

Nautilus head of industrial Micky Smyth commented: 'Following lengthy discussions, Nautilus has achieved an excellent result, with our strategic organiser Jenny McKechnie and liaison officers Louis Ramsden and Jim Warnes representing members at the negotiations. Nautilus will engage with management going forward to ensure our members' concerns are brought to the table in the spirit of partnership and cooperation.'
