Seafarers' Employment Agreement (SEA)
The Union has produced a SEA contract advice guide for members to help yacht crew ensure that their employment contracts are in line with the Maritime Labour Convention and Flag State requirements on Seafarers' Employment Agreements (SEAs).
The SEA guide explains to members what should be contained within the agreements as a minimum and who are the responsible stakeholders.
Members can find the SEA guide by logging in to My Nautilus/Member resources.
The SEA must be clearly written and legally enforceable. Members should have the opportunity to review and seek advice on the terms and conditions contained within before travelling to join a yacht.
