Job description

We have an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual to join us within our UK Technical Services Navigation's Hydrography & Meteorology team as the Maritime Safety Information Policy Lead.

The successful applicant will lead the programme, contract and financial management for the delivery of the UK Marine Weather Service (MWS) Programme which aims to, as per the requirements of the SOLAS (Safety of Life at Sea) Convention (1974): minimise risk to mariners, their ships and marine environment by facilitating safe and efficient navigation.

The Maritime Safety Information Policy Lead will develop, implement and manage policy across the MCA for Maritime Safety Information (MSI), such as navigational and meteorological warnings, meteorological forecasts, and other urgent safety-related messages.
