Nautilus general secretary joins Trinity House Younger Brethren

Nautilus general secretary Mark Dickinson has been sworn in as a Younger Brother of long-standing seafarers' charity Trinity House. Mr Dickinson was sworn in alongside Brookes Bell's director of nautical Adrian Scales, BP's head of trading operations Susan Thomson, and the Maritime and Coastguard Agency's chief examiner Ajit Jacob.

The selection of the individuals chosen to become Younger Brethren is the responsibility of the Trinity House Corporate Board, which comprises 10 'Elder Brethren'.

The Younger Brethren are a fraternity of over 400 men and women drawn from a variety of backgrounds, including the Merchant Navy, the Royal Navy, and the UK maritime, port and fishing sectors.

They contribute to the authority and expertise of Trinity House, participate in the annual election of the Master and Wardens of the Corporation, and give valuable assistance and advice on the Corporation's operational and charitable activities.
